Requirements

In order to become a second lieutenant and receive a commission in the Army, Cadets must complete the Basic Courses (MLSC 101, 102, 201 and 202), Advanced Courses (MLSC 301, 302, 401 and 402), they must attend some summer training, see what those trainings are all about, and complete a military history course as part of professional military education (PME) requirement.

To become a Cadet students must have at least 30 credit hours completed, unless awarded a 4-year National Merit Scholarship, have a 3.2 GPA and score 270 on the Army Physical Fitness Test (APFT) if not a STEM student.

Once a Cadet, students must maintain a minimum of 2.0 GPA per semester, be enrolled as a full-time student (12 credit hours or more), maintain height and weight standards and pass the APFT.
